At NewGround, we believe few things are more powerful than a story. Stories can open our eyes to new perspectives and open our hearts to each other. A personal and authentic story can shatter misconceptions about complex topics. Bias and hate can be dispelled when we add texture and context to statistics.

We're proud to practice all of that at our annual Spotlight storytelling event. This year, our co-directors are Courage Accelerator Advisory Council member Amir Abdullah and NewGround Story Consultant Stacie Chaiken. Our featured storytellers are Sumaya Abubaker, Sonali Dhanidina, Marissa Tiamfook Gee, Jess Kent, Aisha Sharif, and Reina Sluske.

Join us via Zoom to participate in the group discussions!
